A Sanford Petersen Place Description

If you love beautiful classic things like Riva wooden boats and 1930's vintage cars, then this is the Tahoe Park home for you!  This gorgeous cabin was built in 1935 by the current owners' grandparents. Three generations have adored this home and maintained it perfectly. They have done many improvements to the home over years like new double pane windows, freshly painted exterior, new sofa and new twin beds in 2020, lower bath updated with new tile shower, new wood insert for the wood burning fireplace, modern range for the kitchen.  While this home has a quintessential Old Tahoe feel, it offers all the modern amenities like WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, washer and dryer.  The owners are very committing to always improving this home and have justtreplaced beds, added double pane glass windows and a gas fireplace inset.

The open plan great room has a huge original stone fireplace with new gas insert and soaring wood beamed ceilings that gives the living room a very spacious feel. The great room has a flat screen TV, Amazon stick and DVD player. There are two twin beds for extra sleeping and seating along with sofa, comfy original rattan chairs and a chaise, and a dining table that seats 8.   Internet is through Suddenlink and includes 400 mg speed and unlimited data.  The kitchen is original and is a perfect space with modern range, microwave, 4 slice toaster and toaster oven; there is no dishwasher. There is a bedroom with a queen bed on this main living level, a full ensuite bath with newly tiled shower with a rain showerhead. There is a small room off the laundry room with a twin bed.  Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms, one with two twin beds and the final bedroom has a king bed.  There is another full bath upstairs that has been recently painted and includes a rain showerhead. The home has a nice stone walkway and two patios to enjoy the Tahoe life.  The homes sits on a triple lot which creates privacy as it is surrounded by lovely native trees and plants.  There are 3 driveway entrances: the rear entry is plowed for winter use; it and both front entrances can be used for non-winter guests.

The VERY best thing about this home is its location just a block from the Tahoe Park private beach that features two piers, multiple picnic areas, beaches and BBQs. It's an easy walk to Sunnyside, West Shore Market for gourmet goodies and Firesign Cafe for great breakfasts and lunches. Bring your bikes or rent them just across the street from the Market. The bike trail runs right front of this home and runs all the way down to Tahoma into Tahoe City and out to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows
