Harned Cabin Description
The Harned Cabin is the perfect mix of old Tahoe charm and modern comfort. This Lake Forest home was re-built in 2004 from an original 1940's Tahoe cabin and has been lovingly cared for since it's rebuild. The location can't be beat just steps from the shore of Tahoe at Lake Forest Beach, a short drive or bike ride to the dining, shopping and nightlife of downtown Tahoe City, a 20-30 minute drive to the Slopes of Alpine Meadows & Palisades at Tahoe Ski Resorts, and 20-30 minutes from the California/Nevada state line.
In the home you find a gourmet modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances & basin sink, and all of the tools & equipment you'll need to prepare snacks for the football game or a family holiday dinner and everything in-between. The dining table seats eight and there is additional seating for three at the breakfast bar which is all open to the very comfortable living area with flat screen TV and gas fireplace.
Downstairs along with the main living area you will find a light and bright Queen master bedroom with lovely ensuite bath including a tiled walk-in shower. A convenient half bathroom off the laundry area is downstairs as well.
Upstairs you'll find a bedroom with two queen bed and two twin beds, a bedroom with a single queen bed, and a bedroom with a queen and a day bed that share a spacious hall bathroom with a shower/tub combo.
This is a home for the whole family or multiple families to come enjoy Tahoe in comfort. This is not a pet friendly home but the property owner will consider well behaved dogs under 20lbs. Please inquire before booking.
A $100 + tax pet fee will apply to any accepted pet.
PLEASE NOTE: This home may be equipped with outdoor surveillance cameras and electric bear fencing that are utilized for security and bear activity in the area. These cameras in no way infringe upon guests' privacy, and monitor exterior portions of the home exclusively. Decks and BBQ grills may NOT be available during winter months, exterior areas may be icy. This home is not equipped with AC. Per Placer County Short term rental laws, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation. We automatically add Vacation Rental Accidental Damage Insurance to your reservation. This costs $45 total. If you want to satisfy our Accidental Damage Insurance requirement another way, you can reach out to us and opt in for a refundable security deposit of $3,000 on the card we have on file for the reservation.
Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied.
If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.
If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out.
