Carnelian Bay Basecamp Description

The Carnelian Bay Basecamp is perfect for families and groups who are looking for a spacious, functional home in a perfect location. The 3-story 2400sqft home was remodeled in 2023 and is tastefully decorated with custom-built wood tables and newly updated furniture. It includes the special features to enhance your Lake Tahoe vacation including two separate living rooms, sunny rear deck with BBQ, modern electronics including flat panel TVs with Roku streaming services, a pool table and wet bar, a home office setup for those needing to do some Zoom calls and get some work done and off-street parking for 4-5 cars. 

The location is ideal. The home is on a quiet, sunny, relatively flat street with little thru traffic providing easy access in winter. Just two blocks from the home is a trailhead to Tahoe National Forest / Tahoe Conservancy land offering access to miles of mountain biking and hiking trails including the Tahoe Rim Trail with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. The lakeshore is a short half-mile walk offering locals-favorite restaurants, the famous Garwoods restaurant/bar and two public beaches. The central location offers quick access to all best ski resorts in the area, including a short 15 minute drive to Northstar or 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows. 

Upon entry to the main floor you are presented with a sunny and bright seating area with vaulted ceilings, TV, stone fireplace, and large south facing windows to allow for natural light. The beautiful hardwood floors extend into the kitchen which was completely remodeled in 2023 with a high end Chef’s gas range, ample counter space, and a large dining table. The south facing deck and barbeque can be accessed off of the living room and is the perfect spot to soak in the sunshine. This floor includes 2 queen bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. 

Upstairs is a spacious loft area that overlooks the living room and south facing windows. The loft includes a sitting area and home office desk for those needing to get some work done while on vacation. This floor includes a large bedroom with 2 full beds and 1 twin bed and a full bathroom. The loft also includes a futon for groups wanting an extra bed. 

Downstairs is a second living room with a TV, full-size pool table, and kitchenette/wet bar. This is a great space to unwind and play games with friends and family. The two living rooms provide plenty of options for your group or family to split up and enjoy their favorite activity. This floor includes another queen bedroom and a full bathroom. Lastly this floor includes a separate entrance via a mud/laundry room with hooks and hangers to store all of your adventure equipment including skis, boards, poles, jackets, boots etc. 

PLEASE NOTE: Decks and BBQ grills may NOT be available during winter months, exterior areas may be icy. This home is not equipped with AC. Per Placer County Short Term Rental regulations, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. 

Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied. If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out. 
We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation. Wells & Bennett Realtors require that $500 of your reservation total due upon booking and the remainder due sixty days prior to check-in.
