Biking

There are quite a few beautiful bike paths that hug the shoreline of Lake Tahoe, and perhaps the most exciting is the new East Shore Trail, which runs from Incline Village to Sand Harbor. Biking is a great way for families to enjoy the scenic views of Lake Tahoe, and paved bike paths away from the roadways allow you to get closer to the lake and avoid narrow, winding roads and traffic. It’s also a great way to access the beach without trying to find parking. Other great bike paths include the Tahoe Trailways, which goes all the way from Squaw Valley to Tahoe City along the Truckee RIver, and then continues either North to Dollar Point, or along the West Shore past Tahoma, until it eventually reaches Sugar Pine Point State Park.
